Hong Kong U21 Team head to Singapore

Hong Kong U21 narrowly missed out on qualification for this year’s Netball World Youth Cup, but it hasn’t stopped them developing their skills. The team are currently in Singapore, making the most of training matches against a number of local teams.

“As the saying goes, early birds get the worms. The U21 team was at the airport at 6am, all ready for Singapore!
Once we arrived, we got the chance to watch a super league game – it was a privilege to witness how mature Singapore netball is, with its bench officials and audiences. The Singapore style game with quick pace was inspiring to watch and allowed us to mentally prepare for the matches ahead of us.

Last but most importantly, it was time to put what we had learnt on court. We had our first game against Raffles school. The team fought hard, and had achieved our goals. Nonetheless, there is always room for improvement and we look to work better together in the coming matches!

Shoutout to Caitlin, Nicole and Megan who played really well in their first U21 tour game!

One down, three to go. We’ll be making the most out of it.”

Gessy, Carla, Ada Ytt.
